Moving beyond full-time work can mean losing a place to work, meet people and feel part of the wider world.
A coffee shop can fill that gap. For the price of a cup of coffee, you can have an office for a few hours, enjoy a change of atmosphere and perhaps have an interesting conversation along the way. Sometimes a different setting is all it takes to think more clearly, get something done or see things from a fresh perspective.

The Great Good Place by Ray Oldenburg
Ray Oldenburg’s book gave a name to the cafés, bookshops, libraries, pubs and other informal places where people gather outside home and work.
Read it to understand how these ordinary places enrich our lives. Then find one that is easy to reach, comfortable and affordable—a place where you can think, work, meet someone or simply enjoy a change of scene.

Final thought
Sometimes, changing where you are can change how you think. Finding your third place allows you to step outside your usual routine, find fresh energy and see things from a different perspective. I’m writing to you from mine!
Have a great week.
